Dr. Mark Shelton
Pastor
Bro. Mark serves as the Pastor of Burkesville Baptist Church. He is a native of Florida, but moved back to Kentucky with his family in 1965.  He attended Campbellsville University where he majored in music until 1983. After marrying his wife, Maribeth (Stokes) Shelton, of Smyrna Georgia, they moved to the Atlanta area, where he studied Theology/Philosophy at Mercer University.  Bro. Mark completed his Master of Arts in Theology, as well as his ThD at Andersonville Baptist Seminary and has completed a second Master of Arts through Campbellsville University.

 

Bro. Mark and his wife Maribeth now have two children, Zachary and Tyler and have been serving at Burkesville Baptist Church since the June of 1998.  In addition to his ministry experience, he has worked with Court of Justice in Kentucky, and with several school based family support programs. 

 

Youth Pastor --  Rev. Nathan Britt

Nathan graduated from Clinton Co. High School and Western Ky University.  He teaches History and Social Studies at Cumberland County High School.  He served at Cave Springs Baptist Church as youth minister prior to moving to Burkesville.  He has done 6 overseas mission trip with the International Commission
